১০ সেপ্টেম্বর মঙ্গলবার দুপুরে জয়েনশাহী আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন পরিষদ, সার্বিক মানব উন্নয়ন সংগঠন, আচিক মিচিক সোসাইটি, ট্রাইবাল ওয়েলফেয়ার অ্যাসোসিয়েশনের একাংশ, কোচ আদিবাসী সংগঠন, বাংলাদেশ গারো ছাত্র সংগঠনের একাংশ ও গারো স্টুডেন্ট ফেডারেশনের পক্ষ থেকে মধুপুর উপজেলা নির্বাহী সহসভাপতি থমাস চাম্বুগং, গারো স্টুডেন্ট ফেডারেশনের মধুপুর শাখার সভাপতি তুষার নেকলা, বাগাছাসের মধুপুর শাখার লুসি ৱিছিল,
অফিসার জুবায়ের হোসেন এর মাধ্যমে টাঙ্গাইল জেলা প্রসাশক রবাবর স্মারক প্রদান করা হয়। মধুপুরের বিভিন্ন গ্রাম থেকে কয়েকশত গারো কোচ নারী পুরুষ উপজেলা পরিষদ চত্বরে মানব বন্ধন শেষে এ স্মারক লিপি প্রদান করে। মানব বন্ধনে অন্যান্যের মধ্যে উপস্থিত ছিলেন

মানব বন্ধনে সংক্ষিপ্ত সমাবেশে বক্তারা বলেন, মধুপুরের জয়েনশাহী আদিবাসী উন্নয়ন পরিষদের খ্যাতনামা সভাপতি ইউজিন নকরেকসহ সার্বিক মানব উন্নয়ন সংগঠনের নেতৃবৃন্দের বিরুদ্ধে ষড়যন্ত্র মূলক ভাবে গাছ চুরির মামলা করায় ৫ সেপ্টেম্বর টাঙ্গাইল কোর্টে হাজিরা দিতে গেলে তাকেসহ ১১ জনকে জেল হাজতে প্রেরণ করে। বক্তারা, এই মামলা কে মিথ্যা, ভূমিহীন ও আদিবাসী জনগনের ন্যায্য অধিকার আদায়ের আন্দোলনকে দমন করার অপচেষ্টা বলে দাবি করেন।
সার্বিক মানব উন্নয়ন সংগঠনের ৮৪ শতাংশ জমি নিয়ে বিবাদীর দায়ের করা মামলায় তিনিসহ আরো ১১ জন জেল হাজতে রয়েছে। মামলা প্রত্যাহার ও তাদের মুক্তির দাবিতে এ কর্মসূচি পালন করা হয়। মধুপুর উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার জুবায়ের হোসেন স্মারক পাওয়ার বিষয়টি নিশ্চিত করেছে।
